On October 16, we opened our doors for the very first time for soon high school graduates and prospective university enrollers to see what they are up to before the main choice is made and introduce them with construction backstage.

During the comprehensive excursion students had a unique opportunity to meet and talk to different specialists that are representing various scopes of construction industry – senior export manager, head of production, structural designers and CEO of our company. Students were introduced with backstage of company’s management and establishing own business, also about how vitally important it is to be responsible for employees, therefore breaking down stereotypes that being a boss is always easy and carefree.

Senior export manager Olga shared her 17 years’ experience in construction industry from which 10 were on construction site. She emphasized that girls shouldn’t be afraid of predominantly masculine construction industry. When it comes to competence and knowledge gender is absolutely insignificant, everything is about your value as a professional.

Our structural designer team not only demonstrated programs they are operating on a daily basis, but also prepared a knowledge test that covered miscellaneous questions on industry. Our knowledge quiz turned out educational and humorous as well, that was finished with tasty snacks and presents.

Last but not the least introduction was with head of production Dmitrijs Birznieks, who provided detailed safety instruction before entering manufacturing plant, explained step by step manufacturing process of steel tendons, their application on construction site within the context of world scale and discussed Elon Musk achievements as well.
