Strandeck input

Within the framework of the project we were in charge of structural design of interfloor slabs and beams. The main challenge of this part was to design beams that would hold the spectator’s tribune. Therefore, engineers team decided in favor of single span beams that are holding tribune as a cantilever. Beam cross-section height on the tribune side reached 1,20 m. In case, post-tensioning wouldn’t have been applied, this number would be much bigger. Another hardship was due to the oval form of the slabs, as tendons are performing the best in circumstances of rectangular shape. In order to create an illusion of most beneficial form, slab was divided into 4 parts.
